The measurement phase of the Shelf Edge Study (SES) began in March 1995 and continued until August 1996. Moorings were deployed along a southern line and a northern line in an area to the west of Scotland (see the SES map for details).
This data report describes the results from current meters (Interocean S4's, Aanderaa RCM's, RD Instruments Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers), thermistor chains, thermistor probes transmissometers, bottom pressure recorders and meteorological buoys. Data return was better than expected.

Data from SES is available from Roy Lowry at BODC. Data plots may be viewed through Netscape or downloaded in postscript format from the rig pages.

, in directories named according to the site where the rig
