General information

Welcome to the Challenger Conference for Marine Science: 2004 and to the City of Liverpool. The Marine Science conference is a biennial event organised by the Challenger Society. It is the main forum for interdisciplinary marine science within the UK, and also attracts contributions from researchers from Europe and further afield.

Parking restrictions
Parking in the City Centre is very limited, especially during the working day; parking within the University precinct is normally restricted to permit holders only, but a permit will not be required for the duration of the Conference. Local public transport is, however, frequent and inexpensive. Walking to the University precinct from the City Centre takes about 10 minutes.

Civic Reception and Conference Dinner - smart dress
Smart dress is required for the Civic Reception and Conference Dinner, which takes place in St George's Hall on Thursday 16th September 2004 at 7.00pm.
