Research interests

Improved model representation of coastal ocean mixing: Observation motived improvement of numerical simualtion of shallow seas mixing. Including optical processes and turbulence.

Wave induced influences on the ocean mixed layer: Using numerical simulations to investigate processes that influence the Ekman layer mean flow, the interactions between internal waves and surface waves and understanding the effects on upper ocean turbulence and ocean mixing.

Current Appointments

Honorary Lecturer in the University of Liverpool, Department of Ocean and Earth Sciences.
